maybe a piece of you painted on my canvas
a little too subtle to see
but i feel you away from my (senseless) dreams
and into a leaving scene

and i can’t catch up to where i should be
or retrieve what i thought i forgot
all i know is the wind will keep blowing
and the waves will never stop

possible piece of me found elusively lost
introducing a passive pain
but i feel you away from my (incessant) stains
and a summoning of the rain
